Sometimes the Best Sport Bet is the One You Don’t Make

I sometimes wonder why I bother to make any sports picks at all. I mean, there are so many opportunities online for me to make sport picks, doing so is just recreational sports gambling for me. But this weekend I had a fun filled weekend. First, Pittsburgh looked kick a canter headed to the Super Bowl. Then, the Patriots struggled mightily in Denver as pressures built. Thirdly, one of the premier offensive strategists in the game died. And, most distressingly, I had a few bets I shouldn’t have made. But, as a responsible gambler, I’ll bet you didn’t interpret the latter as a bad beat. typed out by a few sport bettors who rolled the dice beyond the midday line, I finished up a bit better than those with whom I either split or matched.

Detroit was about an 8 point favorite over the Patriots. The spread picked up about an hour later in Denver, but by then bettors were realizing the Pats were a work horse. As the final third of the game loomed, the number of touchdown passes to start the game read 17 to one. That final number included an extraordinary comeback by kicker Mike Nugent. Stay with me in 4th and 5th down conversions, as well as third down conversions.

I noticed a lot of late money moving the goal line in the final quarter of the game. At the Poker88 sports book in Asbury Park, take a look at the final score on the game stat page. Notice the line at the beginning of the 4th quarter was 46- all bets to win. Notice the closing line at the end of the 5th quarter was 28- all bets to win. That closing line bettors couldn’t cover, and sure enough, returned money.

Interestingly enough, bettors who bet the early money line and the money line after the return of the starters could have had a better chance of winning money. Those bettors got burned. Take a look at the final score, higher returns for those who bet the early money line, and it’s easy to see why this system works.

Not only do starters make money, but based on the scene in the first half of this game, easy money was also being bet on Denver. Let’s just say that it didn’t work out for everybody.

There are probably several reasons for this, and it’s possible to argue with those who disagree. At the casino sports book in Asbury Park, take a look at the final score on the game stat page. That’s♦♦♦15 over there. If you made money on the Denver money line, you can keep your digits. Likewise, if you lost money on the Indy money line, you can yell at your bookie and try and make up for it with a little bet on the next game. Either way, the bottom line is you made money.

As I mentioned earlier, if you lost money on the Indy money line, you can deduct it from you’re winning stake on the Pittsburgh money line. In this way, you can zero out your losses if you did in fact lose money on the Steelers’ game. The casino sports book will deduct the losses you incurred from your winning bets. Now you have a positive remainder toward your next bet. The casino sports book will add the rest of your winnings to the original money line bet you placed (i.e., you’ll have exactly what you did bet on the Pittsburgh -18 for example) and you will bet that line again. If you win, yep, you’ll get the amount of your winnings in addition to the original money line bet. In this way, if you lost a bet, the casino sports book will pick up the entire amount of your losses to add to the winnings of the next bet.

Also, the house’s commission is lower on winnings. Money line commissions are generally 5%, and most casinos’ commission is 6%. However, if you bet on both the Colts and the Steelers, you’ll receive a refund of your money and a bonus of $90, Cracking The Code Obviously The Colts Win. If you bet the spread and the money line and both teams win, you’ll get a nice profit.

If you bet the Colts to win, you’ll get a refund of your $110 plus a $10 payout on your $110.The Steelers will also win, and they’ll get a $10 payout on your $110.

It is very important to bet the spread in this scenario. If you bet the Colts to win, you’re paid $100 for your $110 bet, regardless of whether the Colts win or lose. If you bet the spread and the money line and both teams win, you win $100 as well, regardless of whether the favorite team wins or loses. It’s as simple as that.
